Dear Friends of the EBC,<\/p>\n

On Monday 20 March,\u00a0Michael Mroczek, President of the EBC, gave a keynote speech at a seminar on \u201cBusiness Environment and Expansion of Foreign Direct Investment in Japan\u201d<\/strong><\/a>, co-organised by MOFA, METI and JETRO.\u00a0The event also had presentations by ACCJ, Exotech (a French logistics\u00a0company), CIC, and two prefectures, in addition to the hosting organisations.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday 22 March, the EBC management, the President of the German Chamber of Commerce, the Chairs of the EBC\u00a0Sustainability and Security & Defence\u00a0Committees, and 2 members of our Energy Committee and\u00a0Pharmaceutical Committee (EFPIA),\u00a0met with\u00a0Mr. Michael Hager, Head of Cabinet of Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis<\/strong>, to discuss about the current situation of their economic sectors\u00a0on the Japanese market.\u00a0It was also an opportunity to hand him over the last EBC White Paper.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
