This week, we continued to support our stakeholders and strengthen our engagement with European diplomatic and business partners in Japan. Farewell to H.E. Ambassador Pawe\u0142 Milewski<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 25 September, the EBC was pleased to attend the farewell reception for H.E. Ambassador Pawe\u0142 Milewski, hosted at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We warmly thank Ambassador Milewski for his trust, support and excellent cooperation with the EBC over the years. The EBC works closely with both the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Japan, one of our 17 stakeholders, and the Embassy of Poland, supporting Polish companies operating in Japan and contributing to stronger Poland-Japan business relations.<\/p>\n

We wish Ambassador Milewski every success in the next chapter of his career and look forward to continuing our close cooperation with our Polish partners in Japan.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Partner Event: EU Inter Partes Opposition vs. Japanese Practice – 2 October<\/strong><\/p>\n

The EUIPO – European Union Intellectual Property Office, through the EU-Japan IP Action project, will hold a webinar on 2 October focusing on the differences between EU inter partes opposition proceedings and Japanese practice.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The session will examine key procedural steps, deadlines, timelines and practical considerations for rights holders and practitioners. It will also provide insights into how differences between the EU and Japanese systems can affect filing strategies, risk assessment and post-registration monitoring.<\/p>\n

Partner Event: EU Batteries Regulation – Digital Product Passport (DPP)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation is sharing an upcoming European Commission webinar on the Digital Product Passport for batteries, taking place on 30 September, from 20:30 to 22:30.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The webinar will provide an update on the latest developments and key requirements, including a live demonstration of the DPP Registry and a Q&A session.
\nParticipation is limited to the first 1,000 attendees.<\/p>\n
