While it is still difficult to foresee the end of the COVID-19 outbreak in Japan and in other parts of the world, governments are already implementing a variety of measures to provide relief to businesses and stimulate the economy to avoid an economic recession.

• In this context, the EBC team has selected interesting webinars offering useful information about the impacts of the pandemic on Green Recovery, Digital Transformation and on special measures from the Japanese government regarding a subsidy for employment adjustment for business owners of all industries nationwide;
• We also inform you about a new subsidy for foreign financial companies in Tokyo;

This webinar will include a video-message by Koizumi Shinjiro, Minister of the Environment, Japan, and by Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, European Commission. European and Japanese senior officials and experts will share views about COVID-19 recovery as an opportunity to build inclusive and resilient societies and climate neutral economies, in line with the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement for Climate Change. The webinar will be in Japanese and English (simultaneous interpretation will be provided).
