Preparations for the Annual Railway Workshop – 8 October
On 8 October, the EBC Railway Committee met with Tokyo Metro and JR East to initiate planning for our annual workshop, scheduled for early next year. This year, Tokyo Metro will take on hosting responsibilities. Representatives from JR West, JR Tokai, and JRTT will also be joining. During the meeting, we discussed potential agenda topics to ensure that the 9th iteration of the workshop will build on nearly 15 years of collaboration between the EBC and Japan’s major railway operators, which has seen progress such as the publication of planned procurements and the recent announcement by JR East and JR West of possible joint standardisation. The workshop continues to serve as an important platform for strengthening our partnerships and addressing key issues in the railway sector. |
