The European Business Council in Japan (EBC) participated in a joint Press Conference on the need to change Japan’s corporate governance and company law. The press conference was held at the Foreign Correspondent’s Club of Japan on Thursday October 27th, 2011. The EBC was represented by Mr. James Lawden, Chairman of the EBC Legal Services Committee, who was joined by representatives from the American Chamber in Japan (ACCJ), Australia & New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ANZCCJ) and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (CCCJ).
