On May 13th 2011, a joint press release was issued by the Keidanren, the European Business Council in Japan (EBC), and the major Brussels-based business organisations, EUROCHAMBRES, EuroCommerce and DIGITALEUROPE, recommending that the EU-Japan Summit scheduled for later this month decides to start negotiations on an EU-Japan Economic Integration Agreement.
