Sustainable aviation fuel

Japan, similar to many other countries, has announced that by 2030 airliners are required to use at least 10% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). There are, however, concerns that there will not be enough supply in Japan to fulfil this requirement.

Recommendations

  • Japan should immediately announce a roadmap for how it intends to support the supply of SAF to the market. This is also needs to cover the whole supply chain
