From the EBC

Dear Friends of the EBC,

On 22 March, the EBC Automotive Components & Aftermarket Committee, in
collaboration with the German Chamber, hosted a distinguished speaker event. The Committee was privileged to welcome Mr Kohei Okuma and Mr Hitoshi Inukai from KPMG, who gave an insightful presentation on the results of the KPMG Global Automotive Executives Survey 2023 and the Japanese Consumer Survey for the same year. Their presentation was rich with comprehensive data, providing valuable insights into the perspectives of industry executives and Japanese consumers alike. The engaging content resonated with the diverse audience of automotive executives, generating enthusiastic feedback and meaningful discussions.

(Japan Today)
  • A small committee of the Cultural Affairs Agency has presented cases that could constitute copyright infringement by generative artificial intelligence (AI) in a report detailing its interpretation of copyright law. The report was presented in the Agency’s subcommittee on Tuesday. (The Japan News)
  • The Tokyo Stock Exchange will require the 1,600 companies listed on its top Prime Market to simultaneously release financial results and other important data in Japanese and English starting in April 2025.
